Interprovincial transport banned by NCOC on weekends amid rising coronavirus cases
Inter provincial travel banned on weekends beginning April 10: NCOC

Due to the recent spike in third wave of coronavirus in the country, the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) on Sunday announced to suspend all inter-provincial transports and travelling over the weekends.

According to a NCOC statement, “It has been decided to ban interprovincial transport for two days a week (Saturday and Sunday) with effect from April 10, at 12 am, to April 25, 12:59am.”

The NCOC has exempted certain services from the restrictions imposed in this regard, like goods, freight, medical and other emergency services won’t fall under the category of the suspension as well as train services will also operate entire week with 70 percent occupancy.

The decision of the ban will be reviewed on April 20 by NCOC.
