Occupied Palestine (QNN)-: The Zionist Minister of Internal Security Amir Ohana on Saturday said that he ordered to vaccinate of Zionist Jailers and workers at Zionist Jails without vaccinating Palestinian inmates.
After strong criticism by the international community and human rights organization, Amir Ohana tries to justify his statement and said Palestinian prisoners will be inoculated when more Israelis have been vaccinated.
Israel HaYom reported that reports about a decision to give Palestinian prisoners the vaccine stirred criticism among Israelis.
“In a democratic country such as ours, vaccinating security prisoners before the general population has been vaccinated could spark criticism,” former IPS Commissioner Orit Adato told Israel Hayom. In the same vein, the spokesman for the Committee for Prisoners and Former Prisoners, Hasan Abed Rabbo, told QNN that the IPS had asked Palestinian prisoners to notify if they want to receive the vaccine. He added that the Committee demanded that Palestinian prisoners receive the vaccine under supervision by Palestinian or international doctors in order to avoid turning Palestinian prisoners into test objects.
