‘Changing policy on one phone call’ not Pakistan-specific: Qureshi

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has clarified that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s statement that some countries changed their position on just one phone call was not directed at Pakistan at all.

While addressing a press conference in Multan, Qureshi asserted that Pakistan enjoys cordial & friendly relations with Pakistan for last many decades.

The Chinese minister Wang Yi during signing ceremony of an agreement of a $400 billion between Iran and China had said that “Iran decides independently on its relations with other countries and is not like some countries that change their position with one phone call.”

The Minister while shedding light upon the normalization of ties between India and Pakistan said that all issues could be resolved through dialogues as both India and Pakistan could not afford a war.

Mr. Qureshi expressed concern over the ongoing atrocities of Indian troops in Indian Illegal Occupied Jammu and Kashmir IIOJK and said that world community has already rejected abrogation of the independent special status of the IIOJK.

Qureshi said that different international human rights organizations including United Nations UN have raised their voice against the human rights violations in Indian held Kashmir.
