A new UN report vindicated its longstanding position on threats posed to it and the region by groups like TTP, JuA, HuA and their affiliates, based in Afghanistan.
The Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry while responding to the media queries about 27th Report of the UN Analytical and Monitoring Team informed that Pakistan, in the past, used to draw attention of the international community to the support provided to Tehreek-e- Taliban Pakistan and its affiliates by the hostile intelligence agencies.
Zahid said, one of the results of that support was the merger of Jamat-ul-Ahrar, Hizb-ul-Ahrar and other splinter groups of with TTP in Afghanistan last year.
Pakistan had also raised issue of cross border terrorism carried out by TTP on its security forces by its side of borders.
Pakistan acknowledges UNMT’s efforts in exposing the hostile agencies’ sponsored collusion of anti-Pakistan elements in Afghanistan, Chaudhry added.
Chaudhry reiterated that Pakistan stands firm in its resolve to partner with international community against the menace of terrorism
