Occupied Palestine: Am Israeli submarine passed through the Suez Canal last week in what is seen as a clear message to Iran, while a nuclear-powered US submarine has also passed through the Strait of Hormuz and into the Persian Gulf in an apparent threat to Iran, according to a report yesterday by Kan News citing Arab intelligence sources.
Arab intelligence officials had reportedly confirmed to Kan News that the occupation army, Israel Defense Forces IDF Navy submarine surfaced and faced the Persian Gulf, which lies on the other side of Saudi Arabia, in a deliberate act, approved by Egypt, and purportedly intended to ‘send a message’ to Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei.
In a rare similar operations announcement, the US Navy said on Monday that the sub had passed through the narrow, strategically vital waterway between Iran and the Arabian Peninsula amid rising tensions with Tehran.
The Navy’s 5th Fleet based in Bahrain said the Ohio-class guided-missile submarine USS Georgia was accompanied by two surface warships.
The tension between the occupation state and Iran has increased dramatically following the assassination of the Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh on November 27. Shortly after the assassination, Iran vowed revenge on the occupation state, which is believed to be behind the assassination
